It’s our rebel with a cause…
Oh how I wish I was in florida last night to behold a rocking sweaty Johnny Depp in person! As I mentioned before, Johnny reunited with his old band, The Kids, for a benefit concert in Pompano beach, FL. last night. It was reported that he played a 90 minute set with his bandmates. The Kids are a power-pop group that formed in 1978, when Depp was in high school in South Florida.
He wasn’t alone, either - Long time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, and their daughter, 9 year old Lily-Rose sat together in the box seats as Depp smiled up at them from the stage. (Johnny’s 6 year old son, Jack, wasn’t in attendance.)
This is the second time that Johnny and The Kids have reunited for these functions, held in honor of their late manager, Sheila Witkin. Last year, the proceeds were donated to the Dan Marino Foundation - which funds programs for kids with special needs. Earlier, Johnny posed with Marino and fans.
Onstage, Johnny was his typical fashion forward/backward self, with a blue hole-y tshirt, torn jeans and a flannel shirt around his waist. He blended in with his fellow band members, playing lead guitar and singing background on their original tunes. They also covered classices, like the Ronettes ‘Be My Baby’.
The paparazzi and professional photographers aren’t the only ones with photo’s of the event - Lily-Rose took pictures with a disposable camera while she cheered daddy on from the stands during his performance.
So he plays guitar, sings, acts, and is sexy as hell, as well as a hella nice guy. They broke the mold, with our Johnny, didn’t they?

He truly, truly did. And that is why we truly love him so much that we dream of him not only while asleep but pretty much when we’re awake.
